magic smoke escaped?

it's the first time I see a hole in a capacitor... I suppose the magic smoke was escaped.
can you confirm that?

Usually there is some mechanic deformation involved like bulging out. At least this cap is suspect, as it can/will/already has dried out.

That capacitor is certainly faulty. If some rapid failure happens, sometimes gas escapes without capacitor having a time for bulging and only a hole is left. Usually it is either because of rapid overvoltage or AC applied to the capacitor (like rectifier fail). This capacitor looks suspicious though, looks like bended inside a bit, and some punctures around. Might be that it was damaged by external mechanical impact.

I exclude some external impact. i'm going to change it and check if it's the only issue in the circuit
