Makita dc18ra repair
« on: February 01, 2017, 04:15:52 pm »
Hello!

I am trying to fix coworker's Makita charger. Originally it started to show "faulty battery" with all batteries. I noticed that a 0.1 ohm (0.25 watt?) resistor was blown from pcb because a diode had shorted out.

Now I need to identify that diode. Markings on the side are: F16VB1. Pic (bad) attached.

Can someone help a noob out? Is it a zener, or can I just throw 1N4007 there?

Replaced D3 with 1N4007. R64 is a fuse for this diode, covered in heatshrink.

Charger seems to work now.
