Speaking as a person who spent the money for a technical education, and spent 40 years in the electronics repair trade, perhaps I'm being too critical, but this person has no clue and it's almost painful watching her learn ever-so-slowly.

At least there's no real high-energy here.

Which she is probably not.
But she stuck to it, did not ruin it and actually fixed it.

Haven't watched the videos (I will) but my first thought is oh my god, that's vintage?

Then I realise how old I am :)

I understand that the obvious lack of testosterone and that overflow of "oh my gods", "oh noooos" or "positive thinking" is a bit shocking to our well seasoned macho ears. If it was me I'm sure the OMGs would be replaced by curses, all variants of f-words, etc.

But come on, she has fixed it (many others would have given up!), she is a Fluke user and she likes Kraftwerk. What's there to dislike? ;) I would say that she's really resourceful for a musician with no professional knowledge of electronics. And of course regardless of her chromosome mix.

I watched these last night. Pretty good I would say and much better than the usual drivel you find so often on youtube. There was logical thought happening and even though some unnecessary work was done the end result was a successful repair. There's no way to know how much or what was done off cam, but I doubt I could do better. Two thumbs up from here.

We have one of those and it is a surprisingly nice sounding amp. Worth repairing. Mission was accomplished so thumbs up for the effort as well.  :-+

Not only were they good sounding, Marantz amplifiers were really beautiful and elegant.

Definitively worth repairing.

So yeah, she made some rookie mistakes. But never gave up. Kudos for her.

"A" for effort?

did you miss the part where she fixed it? A for result!

no "please bro", got the manual herself (which half the people asking for help here cant seem to manage :P), no clickbait, no YT drama.
Great video series!

Exactly. Maybe she did not have the chance to get a technical education.

Respect to her even if she is not as clued up as some people here. Trying is always the first step to success.
