Hello again,

I've got this older HDSDI lipstick camera that I let the magic smoke out of by using the wrong power supply a while back.  I think I've spotted the blown parts...

1 - Allegro Microsystems A4490 DC-DC Switching Regulator (20-WFQFN)

Datasheet:

1 - Unknown part, silkscreen L10, two visible letters are possibly '?RJ', but there is a nearly identical looking part near by with '680' markings.
... although now that i've taken the photos I'm leaning towards '7R7'?

Also, being new to SMD repair, is this the type of thing that warrants reflow?  Or possible doable with just hot-air rework?  I've managed some small parts with hot-air (my station is only a week old), but never a attempted a 'chip' type package yet.

Thanks for the help!
Ryan

A bit more information, and i'm leaning towards an inductor (ferrite bead maybe?, as an "L" number might indicate).

The one on the left (non-damaged) measures 3.07ohm, the visibly damaged one measures 0.17ohm in it's current state.  I would say they were the same but they obviously had different markings originally.

These are near board connectors on the flip-side, so noise filtering?  For testing to power up I would I be safe to just short that one?  (provided i've replaced the A4490 first).

Forgive the perhaps newbie assumptions.
Thanks,
Ryan
