MGL Avionics VHF Radio repair
« on: August 22, 2017, 10:29:06 am »
Can anyone identify the component with the hole in it?  I am repairing an MGL Avionics VHF Transceiver from my brother's gyro copter.

MGL have discontinued this model so I think manufacturer support is unlikely, but i'll try.

My brother was charging the battery on his gyro, all plastic construction, with the radio on, yeah I know! pilots WTF.

The component is either in series with or hanging off the 12V supply line.

Any advice or circuits would be appreciated.

regards
