My Siemens Multimeter B 1028
« on: August 19, 2018, 07:53:28 am »
Hello dear people,

I have a Siemens B1028 which is unfortunately defective ... no display, nothing ...
The first observations have shown that possibly the power supply or the voltage control are out of action.
Unfortunately, I do not have a schematic, so I am currently in the dark.  8)  Does anyone know the device or can possibly help me with documents?

Many Thanks!

Not familiar at all with this meter, but if you have no display, I would trace out the + battery to the main IC.  Perhaps there is a datasheet for the main IC?

If not, see if the crystal/clock is running.

I've looked and the IC is a NORMA MCC2 (more names on the block AMS 9335 WAE ... so I have not found anything on the web). What I still notice is: the current needle of the dispaly on the laboratory power supply fluctuates ... a kind of pumping ( the multimeter is connected to a laboratory power supply ).

I now have the actual controller and that is the NEC D75P316GF. I will now check whether the oscillator works, the operating voltage is in order ... for the beginning
