OLED part number identification/repair
« on: August 14, 2016, 01:52:33 pm »
Hi all,

I was curious what was inside my Aspire odyssey e-cig (http://www.aspirecig.com/aspire-kit/aspire-kit232.html) so I tried to take it apart.. With horrible results. These things are not meant to be disassembled after assembly (at least not without some part destruction as they are held together with glue).

So I managed to rip off a couple of buttons, the USB socket for charging and the OLED.. LOL. The buttons and USB port I sourced from digikey, however the OLED is a strange one. The external (glass) dimensions measure approximately 29x9.2mm, with a viewing area of 22x6.6mm and I cannot find a part similar to this. The closest I have found is an OLED from adafruit (https://www.adafruit.com/products/931) but there the dimensions (and pinout) do not match.

I was wondering if anyone could identify the OLED? Failing that, I think the best option would be to hack some enamel wire on the microvias on the flex.. fun!
