Pace MBT 301 with very faint LCD

Hi, any tips are welcome. Got a very faint display on a Pace MBT 301 desolder station, tried to change the contrast & backlight but didn't improve much.

Is there a simple led replacement that needs to take place?

It looks like the backlight isn't working ... have you tried checking voltages  ;D
