Pls help identify 4ch 120fps capture card v2.10 PCI
« on: October 03, 2015, 06:30:16 pm »
I am trying to help out a neighbor of mine and wish to give them the I7 windows video server computer that was given to me. Problem is that the person removed the hard drive and I need to identify the card manufacture in order to find all the drivers for it to operate properly. The sadly is no 'brand name' on the card, the fcc number does not exist which tells me this is a 'generic card'. I did see the windows 7 system operate properly so I know it will work once I find these drivers. I've also searched on google just about every part number that I can read but none of them were 100% matches to what this card looks like.

I wish to thank you in advance for any info on this card... :)

What about DeviceID/VendorID in device manager?

Maybe try a live linux CD/USB and see if it can identify it?

Some googling identifies it as a NCP2000V2 (http://www.udptechnology.com/products/PC/NCP2000V2.html) - not sure if this helps though as I can't immediately find a driver, though I'm sure it would be worth contacting the manufacturer.

Thanks to ALL for your help!!!

I did use the devid search with the info from device manager/regedit. One of the 9 devices missing came back as a brooktree video capture card. From there I did get 3 files which I will try later on today.

Daveshah Your post matches the card 100% and I'll check for drivers there as well. Not sure why I could not pull that up in my location, but this is the card. It even shows the dip switch in top left corner.

Thank you All for your help!!!

Okay, almost there.
The UDP Technology website was a bit of help, along with the WDM Universal driver kit that I was able to find. Now I have 9 devices with drivers and a 10th device 'PCI Simple Communications Controller' that is still not pulling up. After noticing the 'conexant's btPCI wdm device' in device manager I ran the wdm universal kit again and chose the conexant device this time around. It installed 6 of the others that were missing but I am left with this last one. It is VEN_8086&DEV_8C3A&SUBSYS_1C3A1458&REV_04. This is the first of 4 entries listed under 'hardware ids' tab.

There are also 2 multimedia controller devices with error message and 3 video controller devices with error... Error message is 'This device is not configured correctly / Driver is not intended for this platform.'

I will do some checking with devid (I think it's intel) but any more help would be awesome!  (So close yet so far....) :)

Thanks again to everyone for your help. You all have saved me a lot of time.

I am now getting the files from gigabyte on the intel management driver. Will install it and go from there.

HELLO!!!

Thank you EVERYONE for your help with this card.

I ran the btinstaller (wdmcapture drivers) in compatability mode for windows XP with SP3 and upon doing this those last couple devices cleared their errors and card is working correctly!!!

I again wanted to thank everyone for your help. Out of the 3 forums that I posted this topic on, the people here were the most helpful and I can't thank you enough!

I'm sure everyone still has this question: did you wash the card and remove the seal? ;)
