Safely replace FCC connector on TFT screen module?

Hi, folks.
I wonder how to safely desolder 40 pin FFC connector from TFT screen module I have. I'm afraid of damaging the TFT matrix underneath the board while heating the connector with hot air station.
Any suggestions here?

Well, actually it wasn't so hard. I spent more time think on how to desolder it, then actually desoldering it. I cut two holding pins on the side with a paper knife and forced them out with soldering iron. Then solder blob technique did quite well in that particular case. Especially after realising that I can sacrifice the connector and brake it. But, unfortunately, I lost the replacement connector. It is simply disappeared into thin air
