scope burped...
« on: March 11, 2016, 07:50:47 am »
Hi all!

My HP54510 froze today.    Just stopped responding to keyboard or updating waveform.   Video DMA was still churning away though - it took a few seconds to realize what had happened.  First power cycle, no happy little "Chirp" , no screen.  Second power cycle, up and running!  Whatzit mean?   It passes all POST's, and its fan is blowing air fine.

Whenever a bizarre problem happens in any sort of computer or computerized systems, I first check its RAM. Form my experience, RAM is the mother of Satan in all computer systems.

Satan itself is the dodgy PSU imho
