Tell me what model screen SDS1102CML ordered the screen on the appropriate pinouts (connect - works) but a short trail (very short) does not reach the connector!

Do you mean the 2 conductor LCD backlight power cable?
OEM installation has an extender lead from the PSU to a position on the chassis that the LCD backlight cable can reach.
Have you lost it?

It seems the ribbon cable for your LCD is too short.
I suspect the LCD is the wrong one for your scope.
Your are correct, it should be longer than the one you have.

Return it to your supplier and get the correct LCD.

You have removed the front panel labels so I expect your scope is a rebrand of Siglent SDS1102CML.
What is the brand of your scope?

The LCD is the wrong unit, it must be replaced with the correct LCD with a longer ribbon cable.

Who is your local Siglent supplier?

Here's a link to another thread with a display problem:
https://www.eevblog.com/forum/repair/repair-siglent-sds1102dl/msg720259/#msg720259

Read carefully, it seems there is a small PCB that interfaces between the ribbon cable from the motherboard and the cable from the LCD.
Sorry I was not aware of this PCB as I had not had the LCD removed from any SDS1000 series units I have worked on.

This fixes your problem with the LCD cable being too short.
Have you got the interface PCB?
