Tek 2215, strange behavior on CH1
« on: September 20, 2017, 10:01:45 pm »
Hey Guys, new to the forum and I was hoping somebody had an idea what could be wrong with my new scope I just got off of ebay.

Sine wave kinda looks okay apart from what looks like square wave artifacts...  It gets real interesting when I try to view a square wave.

It would be awesome if somebody knew what was going on here and what I would need to do to fix this, it only happens on channel 1, channel 2 is perfectly fine.

Thanks

You do not give the horizontal and vertical settings but it looks like there is an open in the high impedance circuits before the buffer of channel 1.

This might be the problem, the little red circle shows the switch for coupling is set to "AC" - It should be set on "DC" to view a square wave.

Nothing to do with settings but thanks anyway.  I'll dig out the service manual and check the first solution though for sure.
