Tektronix 2225 Channel 1 Position knob dislodged
« on: July 18, 2015, 03:16:38 pm »
Hi,

My Tektronix 2225 channel 1 position know has come out. It is clearly not broken, and neither is the socket for it on the corresponding pot of the front panel board. But it is turning out to be very hard to put it back in place. Is there a trick to doing this ? I have done my best of taking note of the shape of it and the socket and carefully aligning when trying to push it back.

regards

There might be an allen screw that you need to loosen and later tighten when the knob is back in place.
Do not force it in.

Upon further investigation I found that the knob was actually broken. The knob is supposed to have to locking arms but one is missing. Sucks ! got to find a spare now (part number 366-0636-00).

Here's a place that lists them, at least, but they seem to be sold out. You might give them a call anyway...
