Tektronix type 581 A scope.

Hi,having some rather head scratching moments today i got a type 581 A scope that of course needs to be recaped ect
Either way i powered it on (i checked there was no deadshort capacitors ect) and to my both joy and then heartbreak the "trace" lit up.Sounds good until the spot was unaffected by any of the controls and not staying still. after looking around i found the voltage levels was a bit high, and some low aka 500v was 490 225 was 215 ect but that should not effect the sweep/ramp generator of the scope if anyone knows where to find the ramp generator output to the CRT so i can check as the manual does not help much in this regard thanks.  Alex

Yes i have the plugin installed,anyway now there is some other things going haywire as well. Once i have it closer to getting all the caps done i will post pictures.

Hi,found out the reason the guy who had the scope last put a much larger 6au6 tube in due to this it got knocked out of the socket when installing it!
