What is that component it goes by "EM"  on the PCB

I have no idea - but on the offchance it puts you on the right track, it looks similar to a ceramic resonator. I just came across a ceramic resonator in an circuit, and was looking for what it was. I hadn't come across them. And it does look a little similar to your component.

Hi!

That is indeed what it is - it's a capacitor with an input lead, an output plate and a common, forming a 'T' filter with two ferrite bead supressors, represented like this:-

It's an enigma that's what it is!! This thing's not fixed because it doesn't want to be fixed!!

Yup, EMC filter is correct. Here is a photo of a nearly identical one.
