Weller DEC 1001 station repair

I have a Weller DEC 1001 dual temp controlled station. Both boards have failed, possibly from a power surge and I would like to repair or replace them. Alternately I could make new control boards.

Anyone have a good circuit for a temp controlled iron? 24V ac in, 2 amp max to iron.
