Where to buy large binding posts?
« on: January 26, 2018, 09:04:53 pm »
I'm looking for a source to buy large binding posts like the ones in the attached photos. I've tried searching the usual sources but haven't yet turned anything up.

I am curious also.  But I suggest you list the sources just in case.

Search Ali by the bolt size, that looks about 10mm, if you search aliexpress (for exampl) for 10mm binding post or M10 binding post you will find a few.

These look pretty close (no relation or recommendation, just the first result in a search)

You can also search by current. Try 100A or 200A binding posts for something in that size range.

I am looking for something but I do not know any names.   I believe it is a small post used years ago to connect an alligator clip to it.  Sorta has a T shape to it, the T at the top.  I have spent hours on Aliexpress looking for it.  Any ideas?  Just the name would help.

Anyway this looks like it is about 4 inches long

Possibly, ez, but I'm always suspicious of listings with no indication of which measurement is 10mm.

This one, however, looks like a fair match for what the original poster is asking for:

Just the name would help.

While I don't think I've seen any shaped like that I expect you might be thinking of some type of a turret, or a test point.

This is a typical turret

Not clear whether you are asking about a round profile, or a flat, 2D "T shape"?

If you are talking about a round post, the thing that came to mind is a turret terminal:

Thanks, this was the thing I was missing in my searches. I turned up these, which appear to be nearly identical to the ones I am trying to replace.

These are looking very similar to the ones you have:
