Today i receive this product a Microscope Polarizer 78 LED Ring Light, in a hope to remove light reflections with minimal setup and things on the way like a gooseneck... Packing was great and secure but my happiness goes down when i see dirt on lens, finger prints and dust from inside. I had instantly clean lens with proper solution still not from inside, just the front and back sides.
The led ring is robust and thick, way better than the cheap 20€ led rings.
It fits well at my lens (Please note this don't include the plastic ring to protect the main or barrow len body, you need to buy one or use the already inlcuded from other led rings).

So far:
Good: LED Ring Body, PSU body
Bad: Maybe PSU could fit inside ring, dirt on lens!, no plastic ring protector, PSU metal case without earth

My setup:
  • AmScope SM-4TP with 0.5x Barrow Len
  • A cheap 144 LED Ring from china
  • 1080p Camera with 0.35x c adaptor

How do i test: Lowest and Max zoom, Always with max brightness from both led rings. Images was taken with my microscope camera but from eyepieces the results are the same.

So attach this thing was easy like any other led ring, it's the same fixture method.
After install it i have turn on my camera and my trusty dell monitor, still another surprise... Glare on lens  :palm:

The glare gone when turn on LEDs and ajust swivel but i can fell my eyes different it don't seen right when you first put your view on that thing, with some time working under it your brain will ignore and make a perfect image but that can damage our eyesight so this is a big  :--

Next i tried to compare images from both LED rings to see if this polarizer lens does something but the poor quality of it made me return back to what i had.
It even can't perfect focus!

The focus problem is another big  :--
And last there are some image comparing:

So in conclusion don't buy this, it's junk!
Good if you can replace the lens yourself for a high quality ones because the included lens are junk.
Also the max led setting is not very bright due only 78 lens instead of 144.

Moving forward, soon i will test another LED Ring Polarizer with 144 leds that seens high quality with a cost of 250 EUR, huge price difference and lens seens much better...
