AC panel receptacles for circular holes
« on: May 19, 2015, 09:58:31 pm »
Are panel-mount US-standard 3-prong female receptacles still available that fit in circular holes?
Years ago, Amphenol made them to fit in typical octal-vacuum-tube-socket holes, but I can't find them anymore.
The only panel-mount receptacles I can find require approximately square holes, and do not have mounting hardware (snap-in only).

I believe I have a small number of new ones with flange mount like a tube socket.  How many are needed.

Six.  Are they three-pole female?

They have ground and there may be that number. They are at remote storage an it will be two days before I get there.

A Hubbell HBL5258 might fit your requirements. It's the smallest one I've found so far. Not nearly as nice as the old school metal Amphenols though.

They're a bit pricy, but only somewhat larger than the old Amphenols (1.5" mounting hole, 1.75" hole centers).  I'll see where I can find them.

I just ordered some of the Hubbells from Online Components.com.  Hubbell makes them in brown and ivory.
