uRad Air Quality Monitoring
« on: November 10, 2017, 09:01:42 am »
Radu was kind enough to send me the new model A3 air quality monitor. It has sensors for Gamma radiation, formaldehyde, CO2, tVOC Air quality +temperature, barometric pressure, air humidity, and a laser scattering sensor for PM2.5 particulate matter.

Very cool!

See my live data here which is installed on the balcony outside my office.

Was going to add noise measurement to my meter as well, its a good idea for industrial environments.
Personally I found CO2 and PM2.5 to be the most useful for air quality issues where I am.

Your numbers look very good, where it is. I would install the monitor inside the lab though, that is where I would be most concerned about soldering smoke, lack of ventilation, etc.
Unless you have heavy industry or wildfires in your area, outdoor quality will generally be good.

Hello nidlaX, you can get them on IGG at a lower rate: https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/air-quality-monitoring-network/x/7951265#/ . This batch will roll out in April and includes the Ethernet/Wifi variants.

Otherwise, I have a few on sale on the website directly: https://www.uradmonitor.com/products/?sel=4&pp  , and on Tindie.

Wow!

I really like the new dashboard  :-+

Edit, fixed after restarting browser, just had too many tabs open at the time :) Changing date range does however not update the graph, there is the little loading icon, but graph and date range does not change. (Google Chrome Version 63.0.3239.84 (Official Build) (64-bit))

Really suits my old first version unit: https://www.uradmonitor.com/tools/dashboard-04/?open=11000003#

I hope this new dashboard will also be available through the API at some point :) At the moment I have the graph embedded on my own website, in wordpress, http://kaizerpowerelectronics.dk/everyday-science/radiation-monitoring/ I am writing a guide on how to do this for the uradmonitor blog.
