Microscope In Question: ZM-4TNW3-80AM-9M

Our lab purchased a soldering trinocular microscope, which included a MU900 digital camera for recording. When we first connected to our pc, the camera recording lagged so much it was unusable. Changing settings for framerate, display resolution, and hardware acceleration did not solve the problem. When we hooked up the computer to the internet, however, the microscope camera functioned without lag. A few seconds after we turn off the wifi connection the lag comes back.

Has anybody had this issue? Our PC cannot always be connected to the internet for experiments. Why does a microsocpe program need a constant internet connection anyways?  :palm:

Additionally, trying to record AVI videos results in file corruption (see attached image).

(I've also contacted AmScope, and am waiting on a response).

PC specs:
Intel core i3, seventh gen.
4 GB ram
Windows 10 Pro, 64 bit, build 1709.
Software: Amscope v3.7.10246

Thanks.
