Appropriate JBC tip for drag soldering?
« on: August 27, 2015, 03:29:58 pm »
Can someone recommend the appropriate JBC C245 series tip for drag soldering on SMD parts? I think I want some sort of reservoir tip (spoon?), but not sure which of the hundreds of tips they have is most appropriate.

First four aimed at drag soldering, different sizes available depending on your requirements

C245938 3.8mm
C245931 2.7mm
C245067 2.3mm slim profile
C245965 1.9mm

Last two are aimed at rework having almost no tinning on the side of the tip, only on the face of the hoof/spoon

C245102 2.0mm
C245064 1.3mm
