beeMaths: Design ruler on Kickstarter
« on: May 26, 2017, 09:41:23 am »
Hi everyone!
I've been following Daves blog for years now and it really improved my electronics knowledge a lot (thanks Dave!).
Now I'm using my time till university starts to bring an idea I have into mass production.  :)

Because it might be interesting for you, I sent Dave some sample ones couple of week ago. Unfortunately,
something went wrong with the shipment and he didn't received my parcel. As there is only little time left I'd like to
present you the campaign via his forum. There are a lot more information about the product and myself on the Kickstarter website.

https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/984746429/beemaths-a-well-designed-ruler-that-can-save-your?ref=nav_search

If you have any tipps, constructive criticism, Kickstarter experience or know potential traps, please let me know. And if you like the project there are
some days left you can get beeMaths for the special Kickstarter price.

Thanks,
Meinhard

If you are going to an exam and you rely on your ruler to know sin() and cos() of basic angles, I can tell you that NOTHING will save your day, nothing. :)

That's absolutely true! But I'd like to address younger people as well with some pieces of information.  :)
.... and I think it's nice to see that those angles end up in: sqrt(1)/2 ; sqrt(2)/2 ; sqrt(3)/2 ; sqrt(4)/2

When I did my exams cheat sheets were forbidden. How would this ruler be different?

And what's the bee thing about?

Hi,
this might differ in other countries, but often formularies are allowed for exams. Those rulers are just a better and more stylish way to access this information.

The "bee thing" is the brand and design. So when you have another look at it you see this warb / hexagon design on all the rulers and packaging. :)
Hope that this answers your questions.

It will certainly be a hard sell to any American audience because of the use of "maths" ;)
