Equivalent crimping tool to Huber Suhner
« on: August 18, 2017, 07:42:49 am »
Hi,

I need to crimp a Huber Suhner BNC connector (http://www.hubersuhner.com/ProdDet/4649164) but looking at the price of their crimpiung tools I was wondering if we can find something equivalent cheaper. The insert needed is the 76-Z-0-2-1, it is the size 1/2A (see picture attached for dimension).

Thanks in advance for your help

Been there done that.

Exactly same insert. Found one at Daniels that should crimp ok (because HX-3 pliers already in place), but both sides declined to commit.

Suhner just repeated their sales mantra 'we recommend that you use...' and the DMC sales rep said that he also thinks that it would work out, but that it must be tried and blah blah blah...

Changed the connector to a prefab assembly, so not my problem anymore.
