Hakko 950 vs FM-2023 hot tweezers
« on: May 15, 2015, 05:58:30 am »
I'm looking to get some hot tweezers for soldering tiny SMD on boards. The computer and cell phone repair shop I work at uses Hakko FM-2023 hot tweezers, and they work great. However, I only own a Hakko 936 station so my only option is the 950 hot tweezers. How do they stack up? I would like to avoid upgrading all my gear because it is expensive, but is it time to do so?

I believe we use the T9-L1 at work. How is the iron overall though compared to the FM-2023? Pros and cons? Control, balance, etc? How does the bigger shape and size affect its usage?

T9-L1 is 1mm
then you may want to select the A1379

T9 has the heating element integrated
A1300 use the heating element of the 950 (or Fx-8804)
Batter Fly
