Hakko FR-300 140W vs 98W
« on: April 14, 2017, 03:15:00 am »
There are Hakko FR300-82 desoldering guns on eBay from Japan that are 98W compare to ones sold in North America FR300-05/P that are 140W. If you happen to have  either one what is your feeling if a 98W one is sufficient for general PCB work, i.e. not many heavy connectors/transformers desoldering, just regular parts. May be 4-6 layers boards with internal ground planes though.
