I have an old Heathkit Model 10-4550 Oscilloscope I got a while back from my old boss... I never got a chance to work on it as it doesn't power up and I haven't taken it apart yet to see what is going on inside.... until now...
I'm curious - how many of you would be interested in a thread like this? ( I am still waiting for some equipment to arrive which will help with debugging - but photos, etc... )
I would post photos, updates, questions, etc... as I progress through it to find out what's wrong with it... Obviously first step will be to check the power board and if good, trace to see where power was stopping... The unit itself is old.. I'm not even sure how good the resolution is - it has a Hitachi bulb / projector Make: 5DEP31 (F) in it... The entire enclosure is about: 7" tall x 11" wide x 17.4" deep / long and the Hitachi runs about the entire length...
Front with controls - top lid is popped / propped up but you can't see in yet...
