Update: I bought https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32983347123.html

It has wired connections from mains rather than edge soldered joints and the case is plastic. What mods do I need to do?

I would simply cut the edge of the heatsink that is on the HV rail, put some kapton between the rail and the heatsink and as the case is plastic, run a wire to ground both the rotary encoder and the handle connector, if the front panel is made of aluminium scratch it under the bolts to make a proper connection.

Thanks, I was planning to do these already. Anything else I should do? Perhaps use lower amp fuses? Aren't the 5A fuses excessive?

Probably intended to support the US. For a 230V country, you could probably just about halve them (Anti-surge).

So, I think the max watts of the station is 175W, so you need atleast a 1A fuse right? 2A is the appropriate fuse to use?
