ID this plug (socket) please.
« on: July 27, 2017, 06:41:34 pm »
Hi, can anyone tell me the correct name/manufacturer of the item in the below pic please? It's for the low voltage control/power cable (5 pin, 14mm across the pin area) from an Eliza-Atlas Copco ELI25 electric screwdriver. Many thanks. Dave.

It's a DC power connector (or a microphone plug) but I have no idea who made them originally

Without getting into measurements, this looks like your plug almost 100%

For the future: those locking collar-type DIN connectors with the key in them to ensure they're plugged in only one way are known as "aviation connectors". A lot of them are used on cheaper soldering stations and other projects... but I hope this helps you!

  • There's more value if you figure it out yourself!

AFAIK, they were called ACME plugs/connectors.
Don't ask a question if you aren't willing to listen to the answer.
