Impact driver bits in non-impact drill
« on: April 22, 2014, 03:32:37 pm »
I recently picked up a DeWalt DCD985M2 for general use in my projects. It's a hammer/driver drill. I've never bought tools before so I need to get a good selection of bits for it. However most of the large bit sets I find in stores are labeled as impact driver bits. Can I use impact bits in a non-impact drill or will I run into problems?

If the bit fits the screw you are good to go if they are even close to quality.

You can use impact bits in a non-impact application, the problem is when you try to do the reverse.
