"That's it?"

Amazing how integrated the electronics have become. The PCB in the older versions of the Epson printers were a lot larger and had many more ICs. A larger picture of the boards would help.

If you Google you can easily find a service manual but it's not more than "disassembly instructions"; the older manuals did have complete schematics.

The 41V is for driving the printhead piezos.
There should be another rail on the PSU that's logic-level (probably 3.3V now, it was 5V in the older models.)

I see 3 wires, my guess is ground, 42V, and 3.3/5V.

Plug in the PSU and check its output. Be careful as parts on it will be mains live.

One ram cuse ithip, one eeprom, a big asic with the rest of the logic, a pair of head drivers and a full bridge to drive a stepper, a half bridge for the paper feed, a driver for a solenoid and a few other bits and you have it all. 3 wires to the psu are 0V, 41v and power control, the 3v3 regulator is normally on the mainboard via a small SO8 switcher on the back of the board. The power control drops the main rails to about 10v during standby to reduce power consumption.

Most likely there is nothing wrong with it other than being Epson They turn themselves off after a set period of time with some models anyway, there is a program written by a Russian that resets them. My DX4000 stopped working a short while ago due to the way it dumps ink every time its turned on or off and at the start of each print job the foam in the bottom becomes saturated and there is a sensor for this, I pulled the foam out and washed it after drying it out I put it back in blew the drain tube for the parking bay out and the machine works again.https://www.eevblog.com/forum/Smileys/default/icon_smile_thumbsup.gif

Yes, inkjets where more than 90% of the ink ends up in the pad at the bottom. I prefer a laser where at least you can get refills, and it lasts longer and does not dry up in the head.

Thank you for the coments.

I found the service manual earlier and as amyk says, here  it's not more than "disassembly instructions",  it help me just to take it apart and unmount the main board, however i can't check it because im new in the electronics and don't have the values of the schematics. the only that I can measure was the out put of the PSU  it get me

 :bullshit:
42volts
GND
41volts

everithing seems to be good at least phisicaly, check it out:

Hope that you guys can tell me if there is a trick that helps or a common problem in this model of printes that may help and casually I have the epson stylus c63 PSU and the MB here and take some pictures:
from left to right Epson Stylus Inkjet printer and the Epson L200 All in one printer.

I wis you an exelent new year and blessings for you and yours, thank you.

Does this left cap look bulging in real life?
It has a slight roundness in the picture but it might just be distortion from a wide angle lens.

I see a RAM chip!!! LOL
Caps are good? If not, ram chip maybe!
I find on computers and computer equipment its like almost always Caps or RAM, lol
(it may have a "safty" that if ram is bad, it wont turn on.)
Also, like Psi said, that Left cap on the PSU looks odd.
Check UNDER caps too (just look under to see if its "flat" or bulging there. I've had MANY caps that blew from the bottom and not the "vent" on the top.
Anyway, good luck! ^_^

I would check the output capacitor (the black one) with an esr meter
or at least try to change it with a similar to test
even if it's not bulky, it can fail.

Guess what people...

I tink i can fixed it was a diode the "D1" in the main board i'll upload pictures ASAP....

the diode is in short, it is a sk16 smd diode and I change it for an other (M7 smd diode) now the power led blinks  but i can see if is fixed at all because I have it in parts.

Ya, that big cap next to the coil looks bulged (repeating the overstated already I know).
If it was me, I'd replace it while you've got it out.
I didn't take it apart.
I turned it on.

The only stupid question is, well, most of them...

Save a fuse...Blow an electrician.

You replaced a Schottky diode with a regular silicon diode... seeing as it looks like it's part of the buck converter that may not be a good idea.

Thanks for the info, I'll try to buy a replacement for that diode...
however now the printer turns on and also work the scaner and the printer, the only bug is that it doesn't print noting just looks like. well I go to the electronic store...

Help please!!! I found it in my country but the shottky diode here is SK16B R4 from Taiwan Semiconductor. Is this the same as this SK16 you are talking about? Anybody here who knows if I can replace diode SK16 with diode SK16B R4? Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Since this SK16B R4 shottky diode is 60V and 1A, then it will work. Thanks Amyk. I have no idea what other factors to consider in choosing a replacement diode. Good thing its just the Voltage and ampere ratings.
