I tried a special stereo wav file to display a pentagram in XY mode, hi-res and normal. The wav file was created by my friend. http://www.heckweb.ic.cz/
It also works with analog scopes...

I installed a trial version of DSOX2EMBD. It will expire in May 2013. I wonder what happens if I keep on setting date March 2013.  :D :D
EDIT: I think that the trial will expire no matter what you do.  :-[

Pictures of serial decoding. I am not very familiar with this feature yet.

So I turned on the 30-day trial... It will expire in a month no matter what time you set.  :--
The DVM has a nice bar graph.

The Search button is enabled but still very limited. Works only with serial decoding. The segmented memory looks good. But I know, you have much more segments at Rigol DS2000 :)

When I turned the 30-day trial, the memory is now 500k points per channel when in Run/Stop mode and 1M points per channel in Single mode. It doesn't matter if you use one or two channels. Probably I will buy this optional licence in future. It looks useful.  :-+ Or some hacker should make a crack licence generator program.  :-/O

When I received my brand new DSOX2002A, there was no protective plastic film on the scope's LCD... Isn't that strange?
But who cares...

When I press WaveGen then Settings, pressing the second softkey from the right 4 times on my DSO-X2024, a window pops up showing the function generator parameters. Pressing the softkey 4 more time, the window closes. It's not mentioned in the User's Guide and I assume it only works when the WAVEGEN option is installed.
This doesn't work on my scope. Maybe because I have a new firmware with modulation feature.

The scope makes 2 000 000 000 samples/s, so it makes 2000 samples/us. When the trace is 250 us long, then it has 250×2000=500 000 samples. The record length is 0,5Mpoints in Run/Stop mode. In Single mode it is 1Mpoints.

PSK modulation from WAVEGEN and deep memory. Unfortunately, the memory will expire in one month.  :(

Maybe this thread should be moved to the Test Equipment section.

Measuring the Trigger Output delay of the DSOX2002A. Here it is fed back into channel 2, and it appears the delay is about 42ns. It's better than Rigol DS2000, but I don't know whether this is an important parameter. Does someone know more?? I could not find anything on the web. The green DVM shows the Trig Out frequency.

I tried this on my DSO-X3024A to see if the 3000 series has the same behaviour. I measured 34.2ns with a 9ns cable (1.8m of coax, VF=66%), so about 25ns overall. (You can see the reflection from the trigger pulse at about 18ns after the edge on Ch3).

There seems to be a bug in the Serial button led. It doesn't glow when I push the serial button and switch on the Serial decode function... But the LED is OK, it glows when I turn on the scope and all the leds are lit for a while.
On the other hand, I didn't find any bug that causes the scope to freeze or even crash. The firmware is well-done.

I installed the IO Libraries Suite 16.3 and IntuiLink for 2000/3000 X-Series Oscilloscopes, Version 1.01
It works fine, but I will not use it very often probably.

Microsoft Excel plug-in. In readme I saw this:
Quote
IntuiLink Toolbar for 3000 Series Oscilloscopes limits the size of data transfer to a maximum of 50,000 points regardless of the actual number of points on the screen. The 3000 Series can capture up to 8 million points (scope or logic channels) of memory. To transfer more than 50,000 points on the 2000/3000 Series scopes, use IntuiLink Data Capture for 3000 Series Oscilloscopes.
I will try it in future... http://www.home.agilent.com/agilent/software.jspx?ckey=896758&lc=eng&cc=CZ&nid=-11143.0.00&id=896758

This forum is amazing, topic is about kibi's new DSO but first 5 pages or so discuss about IEC plugs, awesomely meticulous engineers here. :))

Wieving angles of DSOX2002's screen. It's OK, but the GW Instek GDS-2000A is maybe better. Because they overload (?) the underlight LED's so they can give you only one year warranty on the display...  :palm: The rest of the scope has three year warranty.  :-\
