Recommendation for Small SMT Line
« on: November 26, 2017, 09:06:13 pm »
Can anyone with firsthand knowledge recommend an SMT equipment manufacturer for small-to-medium production volume? On a monthly basis, we'll be doing about four protoboards and 5000 production boards per month. We build on 4-layer boards, use large BGAs for RAM(BGA-96), and stick to 0402s for passives. On average, we have 100 uniques per board, with a total part count of 400.

Also, has anyone used the LPKF PCB fabrication machines?

Check out the ASM line of machines. Their small E-Siplace machine likely will do that volume and will definitely have the placement capability.

What would you estimate the cost of that machine to be?
