Sparkfun 303D hot air heater replacement?

Seems like there are a few variants of this station with different looking heating elements, and I think the station itself is just a re-brand of a Chinese one.

I'd like to buy a replacement heater element for mine, but I already fail at taking the handpiece apart :/ I can take out all three screws, but it's still firmly shut and won't budge one bit anywhere.

Can anybody advice on how to perform a replacement and how to best source a heater replacement?

It seems like the newest revision of this station has the handle glued shut and the heating element is no longer user-serviceable, too bad.
