FLUKE 561 teardown
« on: October 27, 2011, 01:34:20 pm »
Bought it as new old stock and described "does not measure"

After opening all that was broken was the sensor housing plastic lock ring which cause the sensor to move and measure only the temperature in casing :) . Just little bit of two component epoxy got this wonderful instrument back on the track  ;)

Nice catch , but you took a risk about getting it.
I am happy that you sorted it out.

I have act the same in some cases too, but I was not so fortunate with one Olympus digital camera,
that it did end at the garbage can.

Yes, sometime you win, sometimes you loose big time. The trash bin possibility is always open  :)

nice thermometer

BUT: why is the emissivity only adjustable in three predefined steps?  >:( it's only a damn factor in the software.

(... and why does it have to be "made in china"?)
