torque driver and bit fit

What kind of additional torque error can be expected from differing bit specifications from manufacturers when you use them as inserts for torque screw drivers?

I presume you mean differing specs in the 1/4" hex dimensions?

I would say none, for the same reason that using extensions and adapters on a square drive torque wrench has no effect either. Play or slack in the tool doesn't have any impact on the torque reading since the tool wont measure any appreciable torque load until that slack is taken up.
