A friend sent me the link below. I searched the forum, no results.

Does anyone have any experience with the product “Solder Seal Wire Connectors”?

I don't have experience with that specific brand, but those types of splices are the bees knees. I've used the Raychem SolderSleeve products with good success. Only problem is they're usually pretty pricey if you need to use a lot of them. TE.com offers samples (+shrink tubing, etc).

One thing to keep in mind is they're only good if your wire is nice clean and easily solderable.

If the wire your using it on is older or lower quality it may not solder well in which case they don't work at all.

Like if you're trying to splice some wires back together on an older vehicle.
