Tried to disassemble the hand piece removed the 3 screws it seems like they fused the 2 halves together... So not coming apart with out destruction!

BTW, take a _close_ look at the solder joint on the PCB. Because of a crappy solder and vibrations joints may start crackling.
Google "solder joint crackle" pictures. I have to re-solder some in my cheap hot air station

The Xytronic looks a little rough for a Taiwan product [ Xytronic stuff is made in Taiwan most times, but I had to ask given its appearance], but they have a good reputation and a USA representative who will honor its warranty and provide product support.  The Atten looks like a better copy, but my money would be on the Xytronic version.  The newer version of this reworkstation follows the more uniform look of Xytronic products and better features.

this is a very crappy(fries triacs) 10 year old analog design, Im not sure xytronix ever made one like that at all, most likely chinese product with xytronix badge to make it look more legitimate, unless its some 10 year old old new stock
Who logs in to gdm? Not I, said the duck.
My fireplace is on fire, but in all the wrong places.

I have had it for a while and never an issue. Edited post with photo's of the main board.

Triacs's on the board are 1, BTB06-600B & 2, BTB04-600A
