Any experiences with PDLUX from China?
« on: September 04, 2018, 07:00:39 pm »
For a local project in China I am considering this 5.8GHz Doppler module from PDLUX.

Does anyone here happen to have any experience with this supplier?
Are they any good with respect to quality (reliability) and performance?
They seem to be pretty western oriented because some of their sensors have FCC modular approval (https://fccid.io/2AIWW)

Anyhow, look forward to your experiences.

P.s. I know that if I want to be sure I should stick to a reputable supplier like InnoSent or RFbeam. But thats not the question now... ;)

I got hold on one of their modules. It appears that they use a dot of glue on the LO for frequency tuning...

What to think about that with respect to stability over temperature and lifetime?

I've seen designs where a trace is scratched with a knife to tune the LO frequency.
Also laser trimming I have seen before, but such a dot of glue not. I doubt the reliability of it!
