Hi guys,

I recenetly got myself a HP 8657A that had a "Calibration Reject" sticker on it. After some testing, it seems to work, though I can't be certain because I have nothing to test it with fully.

I suspect that if something is wrong with it, it will either be power levels not being within spec, or poor frequency accuracy.

I was therefore hoping to find someone in the north-east Belguim/South-east Netherlands area with a decently calibrated spectrum analyzer (and perhaps a powermeter to really verify power levels) that is willing to let me come over for a few hours just to see what is up. I'm open to small fees though I'm just a student so I can't give that much.

Just let me know if there is anyone that is willing to do this for me. If so, It'll have to take place after the 30th of Jan. since I have my university exams untill then.

The HP 8657A goes from 10 kHz (though specs are only guaranteed to 100 kHz) up to 1040 MHz.

The best part about magic is when it stops being magic and becomes science instead
