Plotting Smith Chart Data in 3-D

I don't know if this is of interest to anyone, but I had a need for plotting Smith Chart data in 3-D (to visually display power dissipation of an antenna tuning network versus load impedance).   

A friend who also worked many years in the Mathworks Applications Engineering group came up with a way to do it using an enhanced Smith Chart plotting routine he wrote for MATLAB.  I found it very useful, and I thought I would share it in case it might be helpful for others.
