SAW filter input output interchangeablity?
« on: September 28, 2016, 07:34:30 am »
Hi guys,

Assuming that a SAW filter has both input and output impedances equal, can it be assumed that the input and output are interchangeable? I'm measuring one now, and it seems so. Is this correct, or is there something I'm missing?

Thanks,

David

The impedance must be matched so as not to de-tune the freq, but I don't think it would work in opposite direction, it just cuts the frequencies in which we are not interested.

It'll work fine in both directions.
