MEGURO FM/VHF STANDARD SIGNAL GENERATOR MODEL MSG-277H
« on: April 11, 2017, 11:45:15 am »
Hi,

I have recently acquired a very nice vintage signal generator, a MEGURO FM/VHF standard signal generator MSG-277H which appears to be working properly. It operates from 100 to 200 MHz approx and has a decent attenuator and adjustable FM up to +/- 25kHz. it also has a built in 5MHz XO for which can be beat against the main osc for fairly accurate output frequency checking at harmonics of 5MHz I guess.

I'd love a copy of the service manual, or even a schematic if anyone knows where to look I'd be most grateful, I have not managed to find anything online. I have in mind a small modification to lower the range of the generator so that it overlaps the full commercial FM band, say from 80MHz to 180MHz, but before I go at it I'd like to check the oscillator circuit to make sure I fully understand it.

Many thanks for any pointers!

Pete.
