So i have a loop antenna i made that has a 1 meter diameter loop and a built in matched transistor differential amplifier type circuit at the base, along with an off switch relay, powered by phantom power.

Its rather large. Looks like a hoola hoop.

For active loop antennas, how would its performance look like if i made it say 1/3 the size, so that it could be portable?

The design i made is supposedly good for low khz to 30MHz.

What can i expect from this smaller loop? From cursory research i am lead to believe the results will be suprizing and not what i expect (shift in bw 3db points on both ends being uniform)

I basically built this with a matched transistor

Short; what is the effect of keeping the preamp the same but changing coil diameter from 1 meter to one foot
