« on: January 09, 2019, 05:50:51 pm »

I got the Software from: https://www.maas-elektronik.com/MAAS-PT-130-D-PMR-446-Digital-Analog-Funkgeraet.2.html who is the "legal" PMR446 Variant.
The software dont work from there. The say the cant Connect.

problem is still likely the usb driver.
so i'll ask again - what chip is it?
in windows hardware manager what is the VID/PID of the cable??

I have 2x different. I see the Radio blinkink it seem that the software try to connect and the Radio dont replay the right way.
The German Company who sold it as legal PMR446 Radio told me there is no "hiden" program mode and I need to just connect them.
When I am back in my Sleeping Room I will look into the Info.

if it's like the baofeng stuff, make sure the volume is not set low - it supresses the data to the socket.

good idea

When the try to connect I see/ hear the Radio is transmitting 2x so the set something to ground.
Maybe the internal connection is different between this radio and the other.

try the usb driver from 409shop,
some newer drivers try to detect clone chips and then fuckup some way intentionally.
most radio sites have older drivers to get around this.

time to do a test.
get a comms program like putty or miniterm,

connect the tx & rx pins together on the cable and see if you can send text out and back in again to the screen.

:-+ I see on the Radio that the "Transmission" Pin is set. I hear some noise in my speaker and the transmission led light up for a second.

well it is pretty clear that it's analog at ali,
mascom i dont trust, there description does not add up.

what would be interesting, if chirp supports the radio you could try it on VHF (120-160MHz) and see what happens.
there is a small baofeng sold as UHF that seens to actually have dual-band hardware in it - this may be the same inside.

On Ali you can buy an VHF Version: https://de.aliexpress.com/item/IRADIO-CP-168-VHF-136-174MHz-2W-128CH-Compact-Portable-Two-way-Radio-with-Built-in/32693574824.html
Here we cant use for anything.
