I didn't understand half of it, but I think this is a pretty interesting talk for the RF aficionados on this board.

If I got the gist, and that's a big if, this uses carefully designed copper traces and a few basic components to construct circulators, tunable filters and steerable antennas for microwave applications.

The word metamaterial is used a lot in this presentation, and I first thought he was referring to some specially engineered material that is created with complex processes. But in this talk it actually refers to the macro structure of stripline and components - I think  ???
