Unusual BNC connector identification
« on: December 27, 2017, 04:27:17 pm »
Hello,

Apologies if this is not in the right section ; please feel free to move the topic.

The BNC plug shown in the pictures below is quite unusual as it is made of two connector pieces. One 3mm diameter one that crimps onto a 1.8mm coax cable (both the core and the shield are attached) and one standard BNC plug with a gland at the back that receives the 3mm connector.

The big advantage of this solution is that the terminated cable can be fed through small 3.5mm holes where usual BNC connectors would been to be cut/re-crimped.

This very plug has been pulled off a cable and I'd like to find a replacement but can't identify the manufacturer. Unfortunately, there is no name or logo on the metalwork.
Please let me know if you know where to find such a plug or if you know the name of this arrangement.

Thank you very much in advance for your help.

i think that's 2 different things.
a compact plug - that i think i'v seen inside something before - maybe a scope.

and a bnc adapter.
