Blog suggestion....History of dev boards.
« on: September 17, 2014, 08:45:33 am »
Hey Dave...I know you have a good collection of "pre-internet" mags and such.  Care to walk up through the history of dev boards?  What was the top sellers?  Why one board won out over another?  Feature creep?

My first "dev board" was a sad Basic Stamp II thing.  Cost $80, and I knew I could maybe use it for something.  But a far cry from being able to use it in a product, or even own two or thee at a time as a broke college student.

Let see a blog where you dig into the history of dev boards!  Would be awesome!

Most probably after many people looking at your request some people will be making a blog before you.

Yes, I have tried a couple of blogs just to get an idea and found once I tried to present something, another person had a load more time than myself and completed one before me.

I haven't lost the want to do another one just not enough time and money to get decent cameras.

Usually call stealing the limelight.

I'm still traumatised by my last attempted video looking through old mags, that's when I lots a whole days worth of research and content due to my Canon camera not recording properly  |O
Interesting idea, but I have a bunch of other magazine ideas before I'd want to get to this one.
Also, I was going to start a regular Wayback Wednesday segment looking through old mags.
