Hi Dave..  Just had a long discussion with a youngster about why we put bypass caps around IC's.    This might be a great topic for an EEVBlog.
On a quest to find increasingly complicated ways to blink things

Already done:
Pocket-Sized USB 2.0 LS/FS/HS Protocol Analyzer Model 1480A with OTG decoding.
